INSIDE RIGHT
 
Inside Right is a mental health and wellbeing programme, which uses football as a vehicle to help young service veterans adjust to civilian life.
 
Using the hook of football and appeal of professional football clubs, Inside Right aims to improve service leavers’ health and wellbeing and provide access to on-going support and services.
 
Inside Right is initially a three-year pilot, to be delivered by five clubs: Chelsea, Colchester United, Everton, Lincoln City and Portsmouth.   
 
Referral criteria for Inside Right is:
Ex-servicemen and women (aged 20 -50) who may be socially isolated, long term unemployed, on a low income: with a diagnosis of a mental health issue or vulnerable to one.  The scheme operates at Chelsea, Everton, Colchester, Lincoln and Portsmouth football clubs.
