Referrals from secondary care workers which includes Care Co-ordinators, Occupational Therapists, Support Time and Recovery Workers and in-patient staff.
History
This is part of the Mind network in Portsmouth.
Current Activities
This service, also known as the Community Links Service, provides two main services. The Community Links Befriending Service empowers and supports people to form sustainable links with their local community through encouragement and support. This is aimed at people who are socially isolated due to experiencing mental distress. A befriender will support individuals weekly or fortnightly, helping to identify goals and work towards achieving them.
