History
The Group has been running for many years and is open to individuals between the ages of 16 and 65 yrs with mental health problems. There is no other criteria for joining the group, other than an interest in having a go at hand building pottery. Previous experience isn't at all necessary, any level of ability is welcomed and all skills are nurtured.

We use a variety of techniques ranging from slab building to mould forming. This enables work produced to vary from tiles, mugs and bowls to more sculptural wares.

In 2004 the Group was commissioned to design and produce an original ceramic mural for the Orchards, the new ward at St James.

Click here to find out how we did it.

Current Activities
There are two groups - one on a Thursday afternoon and one on a Friday morning. The groups last for two hours.

Future plans
We would like to expand our membership, perhaps take on some more commissions, and make links to other community groups.
