History
The Resettlement Team started off as part of Social Services in 1990. However in 1999 it was expanded and given a more clearly defined role with three times the previous staffing.
Current Activities
The Resettlement team offer a comprehensive service including facilitating the 'moving on' of service users from hospital by assessing their housing needs and securing appropriate accommodation, suggesting possible options for housing, pursuing referrals for this and supporting people through any resettlement process.
This is a friendly and professional service that can explain the various processes involved and assist with the relevant paperwork to ensure that service users are not overwhelmed or unaware of what is happening.
Future Plans
The Resettlement team plans to continue the work it has done and liaise fully with other organisations in order to fully benefit service users.
