History
A newly converted detoxification unit born out of the amalgamation of the Nelson and Highclere units June 2006. We offer an eclectic range of structured therapeutic interventions together with a range of medical regimes providing a supervised withdrawal from drug and alcohol dependency. In addition, we have just introduced aromatherapy and other complimentary therapies to the programme to engender a sense of change and self improvement, so that patients have the 'tools' to lead meaningful lives, free from addiction.
Current Activities
The current programme is underpinned by patient and carer involvement, with is supported by a dynamic service user group based in Portsmouth (PUSHing change)
Future Plans
To set up a Carers' support group for family members/significant others of patients undergoing the detox programme.
