About Us
When the site began in 2002 it was managed by Social Services but in the last three years has become an independent and autonomous organisation. Today it is managed and developed by a committee of service users, carers and mental health workers and is governed by a constitution. The Committee members are:-

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To provide an up to date, one-stop mental health resource for the City of Portsmouth in order to:-
- increase awareness of local mental health services, support networks, news and events
- give facts, figures, practical guidance and information on a range of mental health related issues , including new philosophies and approaches, national legislation and local plans
- keep people informed of opportunities for involvement and participation in the development of local services and give people a chance to have their voice heard
- through information and education, dispel myths and reduce the stigma and prejudice associated with mental health issues
thus contributing to the positive mental health of people in our city
FUNDING
We are a small not-for profit organisation. Our committee members are volunteers and receive no remuneration from the work they carry out other than the occasional travel expenses. We rely on one-off grants to continue our work and are always looking for ways of increasing our income. We welcome all donations, however small.
